# Delete a barcode

> Permanently deletes a barcode from the organization's library. Returns 409 when the barcode is still linked to a SKU or a style assortment. Unlink it from the style first. Returns 404 when the barcode exists in no organization, and 403 when it belongs to a different one. The deleted barcode is returned in the response; a subsequent GET is a 404.
