PUT is a full replace: every writable field on the body is written verbatim. name and state are required (missing/null returns 400); userDefinedId is a nullable scalar — omitting it or sending null clears the column; omitted booleans (isDefault, isAdvancedGrading, allowHalfSample) reset to false. isAdvancedGrading is silently cleared unless the Pro module is enabled. Promoting isDefault demotes the previous default. There is no preserve-on-omit semantics — use PATCH for partial updates. defaultGradingSizeId and the sizes[] list are not editable through this endpoint and are ignored if present. The route id wins over any id in the body.
